KEPR (“KEPR”, “we”, “us”) is operated by Kepr Care & Services, Bengaluru, Karnataka, India. This Privacy Policy applies to the Kepr resident app, the Kepr Partner app (used by security guards and area managers), and our website. By using our apps or services, you agree to the practices described here.
1. Information we collect
We collect only what we need to provide property care, home services, and community management:
- Account & identity: name, phone number, and email address. Phone-based sign-in uses a one-time password (OTP).
- Property information: your flat/society, block, address, and property details you add.
- Location: approximate and, with your permission, precise location — used to set your service address, check serviceability in your area, and route field staff. You can decline location access; some features may then be limited.
- Photos & media: profile photos, and photos you attach to properties, inspections, service bookings, or maintenance.
- Service & booking data: bookings, inspection reports, visitor entries, parcels, vehicles, amenities, community posts and votes, and related activity.
- Device & technical data: device identifiers and push-notification tokens (to deliver alerts), plus basic diagnostics and crash logs.
2. How we use your information
- Provide and operate the apps — bookings, visitor management, inspections, community features, and support.
- Send you notifications you rely on (e.g. visitor-at-the-gate alerts, booking updates, community announcements).
- Verify identity and secure your account.
- Improve reliability and diagnose crashes.
- Communicate with you about your account, bookings, and service.
3. Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only as needed to run the service:
- Within your society/property: to enable visitor approval, maintenance, and community features, limited details are visible to the relevant guards, area managers, or verified co-residents of your flat.
- Service providers who process data for us: Google Firebase (authentication, push messaging), Supabase (database, storage, backend), MSG91 (OTP delivery), and Sentry (crash/error monitoring). These providers process data on our behalf under their own security and privacy terms.
- Legal: when required by law or to protect rights, safety, and security.
4. Data storage & security
Data is stored on secured cloud infrastructure (Supabase, in the Mumbai region) with row-level access controls so residents, guards, and managers can only access data they are authorized to see. Access to backend systems is restricted. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information.
5. Data retention & account deletion
We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service and meet legal obligations. You can delete your account at any time directly in the app:
- Kepr app: Profile → Delete account.
- Kepr Partner app: Profile → Delete account.
Deleting your account permanently removes your personal profile and revokes your access; personal identifiers are erased and any records that must be retained (e.g. for legal or accounting reasons) are de-identified. You may also request deletion by emailing team@kepr.in.
6. Your rights & choices
- Access, correct, or update your information in the app or by contacting us.
- Delete your account (see Section 5).
- Control device permissions (location, camera, notifications) in your device settings.
7. Push notifications
We use push notifications for time-sensitive and service-related alerts. You can disable notifications in your device settings, though core features like visitor approval depend on them.
8. Children
Our services are intended for adults managing their homes and properties and are not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected here with a new “Last updated” date.
